PADI Boat Diver Specialty Course

PADI Boat Diver Speciality Course

Do you know your port side from your starboard side when on a boat? Do you know what a “head” is – and what it’s used for (hint: it’s critical to a fun boat diving experience)? Learn more about boats and how they operate with our PADI Boat Diver Specialty Course.

Spend a day, a weekend or a week on a boat with us and complete the course.

These are just a few of the things you’ll learn with the Boat Diver Specialty course. Some other things you’ll learn include:

  • Different methods of boat entries and exits
  • Use of lines and other safety gear
  • Boat terminology
  • Correct boat diving procedures and etiquette (you don’t want to upset the captain or other divers!)
  • Boat hazards and safety considerations

You can start by reading the PADI Boat Diver Manual and watching the Boat Diving video in preparation for meeting with your instructor to schedule the boat dives. Stop by Dan’s Dive Shop to enroll in the course and get your Boat Diver Crew-Pak and start learning.
